Justification:
This species is known from only one locality, growing in a dry forest on Bongolava mountains. Its habitat, outside the main reserve of Ankarafantsika, is heavily threatened by human activity (fires). This species thus qualifies for VU D2.

Range Description: North-west Madagascar. Only known to occur in the Bongolava regions, south-east of Port-Bergé (Boriziny).
