Assessment Information [top]

Red List Category & Criteria: Vulnerable D2 ver 3.1
Year Published: 2004
Date Assessed: 2004-04-30
Annotations:
Needs updating
Assessor(s): Haevermans, T.
Reviewer(s): Rajeriarison, C., Labat, J.N., Lowry, P. & Randrianjohany, E. (Madagascar Plants RLA)
Justification:
The area of occupancy calculated from the two only known collections is 7.12 km². The variety is likely to have a very small extent of occurrence, and grows in a highly threatened habitat. It thus qualifies for VU D2. Like all the varieties of E. beharensis, it requires further taxonomic study.
