| Habitat and Ecology: | This is a semi aquatic rodent occurring in low marshy areas and gallery forests where it feeds tender parts of plants (Eisenberg and Redford, 1999). Timing of reproduction is influenced by rains but usually falls between spring and the end of summer producing 3-6 young (Gonzalez 2001). |
