Habitat and Ecology: It lives near rivers and in humid forests where it is found among large boulder clusters; the eggs are laid on damp boulder surfaces in grottoes and develop directly.

Major Threat(s): The main threat to this species is habitat destruction that is taking place due to agricultural expansion and urban development; as some populations are associated with streams, they might also be susceptible to chytridiomycosis. In addition, presence of introduced species such as Rattus rattus among boulder clusters may pose a threat.

Conservation Actions: It is not known to occur in any protected areas, and protection of the habitat of this species is urgently needed.
