Taxonomic Notes:	A closely related, but still unnamed, species has been collected from the state of Paraná in southern Brazil (Lourenco et al. 2003).

Justification: Listed as Data Deficient since it has only recently been discovered, and there is still very little information on its extent of occurrence, status and ecological requirements.

Range Description:	This species from south-eastern Brazil is known from two localities in the Serra do Mar in the state of São Paulo: Boraceia in Salesopolis, and Serra de Paramapiacaba in Santo Andre. Its altitudinal range is 500-800m asl.

Population:	It is common at its two known localities.

Habitat and Ecology:	It lives in primary and secondary forest, forest clearings and forest edges, where it deposits its eggs in muddy, temporary ponds.

Major Threat(s):	Although this species has so far been found only in protected areas, it is almost certainly found in other places, where the major threats to it are probably related to habitat loss due to clear-cutting and tourism.
