Justification: Listed as Vulnerable because it is known from fewer than five locations.

Geographic Range [top]

Range Description:	This species is known from two localities, both in the Serrania de los Paraguas in Choco and Valle del Cauca departments, on the Cordillera Occidental, in Colombia, between 2,160 and 2,400m asl. It probably does not occur in adjacent Risaralda department (because a sister species is found there).

Population:	A minute frog species found on the tops of leaves in primary cloud forest. It is very difficult to collect, and relatively few specimens have been successfully collected.

Habitat and Ecology:	It is usually found on top of leaves in dense primary cloud forests. It is active at night, on medium to high vegetation (up to 2m above the ground), and occasionally it occurs on vegetation along streams. It has only been recorded from dense pristine forest. It breeds by direct development.

Major Threat(s):	The habitat of the type locality is relatively unthreatened at present, but there is a road proposed for this area in the future, which will present a major threat to the species if it goes ahead.

Conservation Actions:	Not currently known from any protected areas. Efforts are ongoing to transform the Serrania de los Paraguas into a protected area. This species requires close population monitoring given that it has such a restricted range.
