Habitat and Ecology [top]

Habitat and Ecology:This is a diurnal species that lives in the leaf-litter of primary and secondary forest, and has also been found in bamboo and banana plantations, as well as forest fragments (but not open habitats). It is a direct developer, and the eggs are probably laid on the ground.

Major Threat(s): The Serra de Maranguape is being very heavily deforested, due to logging, agriculture, and human settlement.

Conservation Actions: It is not found in any protected areas, and the formal protection of remaining forest and forest fragments in the Serra de Maranguape is urgently needed.
