Year Published: 2004
Assessor/s: Stephen Richards, Djoko Iskandar

Justification:
Listed as Least Concern since, although its currently known Extent of Occurrence is less than 20,000 km2, it occurs in an area of extensive, suitable habitat which appears not to be under significant threat, it has a presumed large population, and it is unlikely to be declining fast enough to qualify for listing in a more threatened category.

Geographic Range [top]

Range Description: This species is known from the mountains of Papua, Indonesia: the type locality in the Snow Mountains, and two locations in the Wapoga River headwaters (where the species was found in 1998). Conservation Actions: Further documentation of the species' distribution is needed. It is not known from any protected areas. Given declines of torrent-dwelling hylids in Australia, monitoring programmes should be initiated.
