Species Authority: (Caramaschi, Napoli and Bernardes, 2001)
Taxonomic Notes: This species was previously within the genus Hyla but has recently been moved to the genus Bokermannohyla (Faivovich et al. 2005).

Listed as Data Deficient since it has only recently been described, and there is still very little known about its extent of occurrence, area of occupancy, status and ecological requirements.

Habitat and Ecology: It occurs on vegetation alongside streams in the Cerrado savannah, and also inhabits gallery forests, but it does not adapt well to anthropogenic disturbance. Breeding takes place in water.

Major Threat(s): The major threats to this species’ habitat are agricultural development (for both crops and livestock), as well as logging and agricultural pollution.
