Geographic Range [top]

Range Description: This species is known only from the type locality of Tingo in the Río Utcubamba drainage, on the western slopes of the northern Cordillera Oriental (Amazonas Department), in the Andes of Peru, where it has been collected at an altitude of 2,391m asl. It is likely to occur more widely than is currently known.

Habitat and Ecology: This species is presumed to have been collected in cloud forest, although nothing further is known about its habitat and ecology (but the larvae probably develop in streams).
