| Range Description: |
This species was until recently only known from a single locality in Bolívar State, Venezuela, at the foot of the Auyan tepui, at 1,650m asl, on a trail from Danto and Pinon. A second specimen was recently discovered by the Cucurital River. The exact distributional limits of this species are not yet known. |

It occurs in tropical rainforest, and males call in the margins of small streams in the forest or near waterfalls in the spray-zone. This species lays its eggs on land, and the larvae are then carried to water by the adults, where they develop further.
