Range Description:This species is known only from the type locality, Finca Primavera, in the municipality of El Tambo, in Cauca Department, on the Pacific slope of the Cordillera Occidental in Colombia, at 1,400m asl.

Population:There is no information on the population status of this species, which is only known from a few specimens.

Habitat and Ecology [top]

Habitat and Ecology:It occurs on the ground near streams in sub-Andean forests, and it has not been recorded outside forest habitat. Its breeding habits are not known but presumably are similar to other species of the genus, with the larvae being carried to streams to develop.

Major Threat(s): The major threats for this species are not known specifically, but presumably include habitat loss and fragmentation due to the expansion of cattle raising, timber extraction, cultivation of illegal crops and water pollution.
