Justification: A shrub or treelet endemic to Ecuador's Amazonian lowlands, where it grows along rivers. Known from only two locales: on the Río Tigüino and around Puerto Sarayacu. Not confirmed in any Ecuadorean protected area, but expected in the Parque Nacional Yasuní. No specimens of this species are housed in Ecuadorean museums. Apart from habitat destruction, no specific threats are known. |
