Justification: An epiphytic liana endemic to Ecuador, where it is known only from the type, collected by A. Schultze-Rhonhof in 1936, in Santo Domingo. Potentially occurs in remnants of wet coastal forest in northwestern Ecuador, including the Reserva Ecológica Cotacachi-Cayapas. No specimens of this species are housed in Ecuadorean museums. Apart from habitat destruction, no specific threats are known. |
