Justification: Parathesis eggersiana is endemic to Ecuador, where it is known from the type collection, made in 1892. The dry coastal forest present at the time of the collection has since been converted to pastureland for livestock. Searches are recommended in forest remnants like the Cordillera Chongón Colonche. Habitat destruction is the only known threat. |
