Topobea asplundii is endemic to Ecuador. It is known from 12 collections. Habitat destruction is the only known threat.

Geographic Range [top]

Range Description: Endemic to the eastern foothills of the Ecuadorean Andes (in Napo and Pastaza provinces). Most of the 12 known collections are from Napo province: one from Tena, on the lower slopes of the Cordillera de Galeras, and the rest from the Jatun Sacha private reserve, 8 km of Misahuallí.
