Justification:
A terrestrial herb endemic to Andean Ecuador. Most of the > 19 collections are distributed in the south, in Azuay province. Protected in the Parque Nacional Cajas and potentially also in the Parque Nacional Podocarpus. Apart from habitat destruction, no specific threats are known.
