Justification:
A terrestrial herb endemic to Ecuador's southern Andes, where it is known from five populations. Four of them are protected inside the Parque Nacional Podocarpus; the fifth is south of Saraguro, at km 13 between Loma del Oro and Fierro Urcu. Potentially inside the Parque Nacional Cajas. Apart from habitat destruction, no specific threats are known.
