Justification:
A terrestrial herb endemic to Ecuador and widely distributed in paramos. Recorded in the Antisana, Cotopaxi, Cajas, Cayambe-Coca and Chimborazo protected areas, and may occur in similar habitats inside the Cotacachi-Cayapas, Llanganates, and Sangay protected areas. Potential threats are over-grazing and fires.
