Justification: A terrestrial herb endemic to Ecuador. None of the five subpopulations are inside protected areas, but the species will probably be found inside the Reserva Ecológica Los Ilinizas or in the Parque Nacional Podocarpus, since it was collected relatively close to these areas. The principal threat is deforestation. Habitat destruction is the main threat to the species. |
