Justification: A terrestrial herb endemic to Ecuador, where at least 24 subpopulations are distributed widely across the country. Most of the records are in Pichincha province. Confirmed to grow in the Parque Nacional Podocarpus and may occur in the Reserva Ecológica Los Ilinizas. Impacted by habitat destruction. Nearly qualifies for listing as Vulnerable under criterion B. |
