Justification: A shrub endemic to Ecuador, where it is known from two Azuay collections of dubious provenance. Not collected in the last 20 years and probably threatened by deforestation in the region. Potentially occurs in the Parque Nacional Cajas. No specimens of this species are housed in Ecuadorian museums. |
