Justification:
A terrestrial herb endemic to Ecuador. Known from a single collection made in 1987 on the Chillanes-Bucay road, at the Hacienda Tiquibuso, Bolívar province. Threatened by increasing deforestation on the western Andean slopes of Bolívar. No specimens of this species are housed in Ecuadorian museums. Habitat destruction is the only known threat to the species.
