Justification:
A terrestrial aroid endemic to Ecuador, where it is known from four populations, three of them apparently near Puyo and Mera. The fourth was recorded in Zamora-Chinchipe province, at 935 m elevation, without locale information. Not known to occur in Ecuador's protected areas network. Habitat destruction is the only known threat to the species.
