Geographic Range [top]

Range Description: Known from various localities in Bolívar State, including the Gran Sabana and Macizo del Chimantá, and on Cerro Sipapo in Amazonas State. It is possible that the specimens from high elevations on the Macizo del Chimantá represent a distinct species.

Habitat and Ecology: The species occurs in shrublands, swampy depressions in meadows or savannahs and at the margins of gallery forest between 500 and 2,200 m.
