Range Description: A small tree with populations divided between Somalia and Yemen. In the latter country the species is very sparsely scattered along a few wadis near Turbah in the south.

Habitat and Ecology: The species is restricted to areas of riverine forest and bushland in the northern mountains of Somalia. Trees are often stunted because of browsing.
