Range Description:	Originally known only from a single locality at the Blyde River Canyon on the Drakensberg Escarpment, the species has since been found at another site on the escarpment north-east of Mariepskop.
Countries:	Native: South Africa (Limpopo Province, Mpumalanga)

Population:	One subpopulation occurs in a publicly owned conservation area and the other is in a privately owned reserve.

Habitat and Ecology:	It occurs on quartzite outcrops, where it forms an open Protea savanna woodland.
