Population [top]

Population:The species was reported to occur in some abundance in the first half of the century. Large numbers of trees were felled for constructing houses during a period of settlement of the island and the total population is now estimated to include 2,600 adult trees, most of which are located on the Cerro de Pampa Bola. Regeneration is reasonable.
