Red List Category & Criteria: Endangered B1ab(i,ii,iii) ver 3.1
Year Published: 2011

Assessor(s): Rainboth, W.
Reviewer(s): Baird, I. & Brooks, E.
This species is only found in the eastern half of the Bolovens Plateau, southern Laos PDR, which has an estimated area of approximately 1,000-2,000 km² (extent of occurrence). The significant threat to this species is a planned dam (to be built in the next few years) which are likely to have a significant impact on the global population of this species. It is also going to be severely impacted by heavy bauxite mining across its range, causing habitat degradation. It is therefore assessed as Endangered on the basis of an extent of occurrence of less than 5,000 km², its presence in fewer than five locations, and habitat degradation.
