More research is needed into its habitat preferences and threats and also monitoring is necessary to ensure any future declines in abundance trigger a higher threat category. |

| Habitat and Ecology: | This species is found in Acacia and cactus desert, lowland scrub and montane pine woods. It occupies grassy habitas, and has been found in human environments (Smith et al. 1994). |
