Scientific Name: Trichogaster chuna (Hamilton, 1822)
Taxonomic Notes: Hamilton (1822) described Trichopodus chuna from Ganges River.  Now the species is under Trichogaster (Tofper and Schindler 2009).

Hamilton described male and female of this species under two different species T. chuna, and T. sota.
