|Habitat and Ecology:||Caelorinchus shcherbachevi is a bathydemersal species and has been found at a depth range of 797-835 m. This species has been found within the continental shelf and on seamounts. Species from the family Macrouridae are commonly schooling fish (Merrett and Haedrich 1997).|
