This species also has a broad distribution. Although this species is reported to be uncommon and there is little population data available, it is unlikely that this species is experiencing population declines.

Range Description:	Dicrolene nigra is found in the east Pacific from the Gulf of Panama to northern Chile (J.G. Nielsen pers. comm. 2008).
