Justification:
This species has a very restricted range (area of occupancy <500 km², extent of occurrence <5,000 km²), and found in only three streams (possibly two as the species is believed to be extirpated in Safarujo after it dried up) in Estremadura in Portugal where it is heavily impacted by domestic and agricultural pollution and water abstraction, especially during the summer dry period where the streams dry up.
