Range Description: Known from springs and spring-fed pools near Cuatro Cienegas, Coahuila, Mexico and from small seep-springs and artisian wells in Bexar County, Texas, U.S.A (Denton Belk, pers comm. 1996)

Systems: Freshwater

Threats [top]

Major Threat(s): Irrigation near Cuatro Cienegas, Coahuila has seriously degraded the habitat and some of the localities are now destroyed. Seep spings in San Antonio, Bexar County are threatened by pollution and declining water levels (Denton Belk, pers comm. 1996)
