| Habitat and Ecology: | Favours shallow soft bottom habitats near fringing vegetation such as papyrus and Vossia (Okedi 1971). Feeds on insects, particularly chironomid larvae, caridina and caenid larvae (Okedi 1971). A male/female ratio of 1:10.5 has been noted in this species (Okedi 1969). Max. size: 10.0 cm SL. |
