Listed as Least Concern because, although its extent of occurrence is mapped as less than 20,000 km2, it is common and future surveys will probably record this species from additional islands in the Solomons. Furthermore, this species is presumed to have a large population, and is unlikely to be declining at nearly the rate required to qualify for listing in a threatened category.
History:
1996 – Lower Risk/near threatened (Baillie and Groombridge 1996)

Range Description: This little-known species is endemic to the Solomon Islands where it has been recorded on the islands of Choiseul and Santa Isabel (Flannery 1995).
