Justification: A terrestrial herb endemic to Ecuador and known from seven subpopulations located mainly on roadsides in dry and rocky areas of the Andes. Not known to occur inside Ecuador’s protected areas network, but may occur in the lower areas of the Reserva Ecológica Los Ilinizas. Habitat destruction is the only known threat to the species.
