Justification:
A small endemic wobbegong with a wide distribution in shallow water across northern Australia. Little is known of its biology. There are no fisheries for this species and it does not appear in commercial shark or trawl fisheries in Northern Australia.

Range Description: A little known but possibly common tropical inshore demersal shark of the Northern Australian continental shelf. Occurs in shallow water, often found in turbid areas. Thought to be reef associated.
