Justification:
|
MacPhee and Flemming (1999) disagree with the inclusion of S. pallidus on the list of extinctions until the taxonomic uncertainties surrounding the species have been resolved. The species is known only from two immature specimens which probably came from somewhere in the West Indies (range states unknown). The matter has been referred to the relevant Specialist Group for a decision.
