Justification: Saguinus tripartitus has a restricted range. The species probably is not hunted, although possibly there is some use as pets. There is no evidence for any major threats. Occurs in Yasuní National Park, Ecuador. Currently assessed as Least Concern.

Geographic Range

Range Description: Upper Amazon. Between the Rios Curary and Napo in Peru, right bank of the Napo in Ecuador. The western limits to the distribution of this species in Ecuador are not clearly defined but Albúja (1994) extended it as far as the middle reaches of the Ríos Tiputini and Curaray, the upper Río Cononaco and the entire basins of the Ríos Yasuní and Nashiño. S. de la Torre (in litt., 1996) has observed golden-mantle tamarins between the Ríos Yasuní and Indillama.
