Geographic Range
Range Description:
This species is known from only a few sites in northeastern Madagascar. There is some doubt about a record from Anjanaharibe-Sud Special Reserve as it was collected from an owl pellet. It has been recorded between 500 and 940 m asl.

Habitat and Ecology
Habitat and Ecology:
It is a poorly-known species that has only been recorded in the eastern lowland rain forests. It is possibly a a semi-fossorial species which is believed to be forest dependent. The ecology of the species is not known.

Conservation Actions
Conservation Actions:
It has been recorded from two protected areas: Ambatovaky Special Reserve and Anjanaharibe-Sud Special Reserve. It has been recorded in the future protected area of Makira. Further studies are needed into the taxonomy, distribution, population, biology, ecology and threats to this species.
