In some areas of The IUCN Red List website we ask you to provide information in order for you to become a registered User of the data export function, or information is provided via the Feedback form. When you do so, we ask you to give us your name, e-mail address and/or other personal information.
The personal information provided when registering as a User gives us a better profile of our user community and some idea of how the IUCN Red List data are being used. The Feedback form enables us to correct and improve the information presented. We may use your personal data to contact you about any feedback you have provided, or to follow-up on particular data exports you may have requested.
We may share your data (in particular any feedback) with our partners who are responsible for some of the information presented on The IUCN Red List website. If you do not wish us to use this information in this way please e-mail us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
If any of the information that you have provided to us changes, please use the "user information" link on your main profile page. (This is the page you see immediately after logging in.) Your old information will appear for you to edit. Note that you will be directed to this page at least once per year to ensure your information is up-to-date.
User profiles are assigned by e-mail address. If your e-mail address changes, please create a new profile via the signup page. If you wish to cancel your user profile or restrict the use of your personal data, please let us know sending an e-mail to email@example.com.
