The following pages present some examples of threatened species included on the IUCN Red List. The pages are arranged according to the examples used in the previous and current web-based IUCN Red Lists (2000–2007). There are many other web sites that feature photographic images of species on the IUCN Red List (for example, ARKive). All species fact sheets on the Red List web site also have direct links to image search engines ( Google and Picsearch), and where a species has already been documented by ARKive, photograph/s will appear on the species fact sheet.
