Justification: This species has a very small area of occupancy. Its distribution is severely fragmented and there are continuing declines in area of habitat and number of mature individuals. Consequently it is classed as Endangered.

Range Description:	The wild apricot is considered very rare in all four countries where it naturally occurs. In Kazakhstan it is only known from three localities; Talgar, Turgen and Torkulak.
