Justification: This species has a very small area of occupancy. Its distribution is severely fragmented and there are continuing declines in area of habitat and number of mature individuals. Consequently it is classed as Endangered. |

| Range Description: | The wild apricot is considered very rare in all four countries where it naturally occurs. In Kazakhstan it is only known from three localities; Talgar, Turgen and Torkulak. |
