| Range Description: | This species is known only from the type locality in the Silent Valley National Park, in the Western Ghats in India at approximately 900m asl. It possibly occurs a little more widely. |

| Habitat and Ecology: | It is associated with hill streams and riparian habitats in moist evergreen tropical forest. The type specimen was collected on the forest floor. This species presumably has aquatic larvae in streams, like other species of Micrixalus. |
