Habitat and Ecology:In soft, whitish, salty soil of the dry flat pan surface which is otherwise devoid of vascular plants.

Major Threat(s): No serious threats are known at present. However, the species has a very limited distribution and habitat preference which may well be over utilised by game around Etosha.
