This species is listed as Endangered as it is believed to have undergone a decline of more than 50% over the last three generations due to a combination of habitat loss and hunting and is predicted to decline at the same rate over the next three generations. Also, its extent of occurrence is probably less than 5,000 km2, with all individuals in fewer than five locations, and the extent of its forest habitat is probably declining.
