Justification:
This is a poorly known species, which has been reported from 16 localities over about 838,000 km² in Yemen, northeast Oman and the northern United Arab Emirates. The area of occupancy is around 137,000 km². A future degradation of the habitat may be expected in this area due to human demography, which increased from a factor 4 in Oman and the Yemen, from a factor 30 in the UAE, between 1961 and 2003 (FAO 2004, 2005 in http://en.wikipedia.org), and the use of pesticide in agricultural and oases landscapes, which constitute a large part of the habitat of the species. A future ongoing drying up of this area may be expected too, owing to the global climatic change. As a rough expectation, a 30% reduction in the next decade is likely.
