|Scientific Name:||Euphorbia duranii|
|Species Authority:||Ursch & Leandri|
|Infra-specific Taxa Assessed:|
|Red List Category & Criteria:||Endangered B1ab(iii)+2ab(iii) ver 3.1|
|Reviewer(s):||Rajeriarison, C., Labat, J.N., Lowry, P. & Randrianjohany, E. (Madagascar Plants RLA)|
Both varieties are listed as threatened, and although var ankaratrae is listed as Vulnerable (this is probably an under lisiting), the species as a whole is considered Endangered. This is because the combined extent of occurrence is < 5,000 km² and the combined area of occupancy is < 500 km². The number of locations is certainly less than five and the range is severely fragmented. There is continuing decline due to habitat loss and degradation.
|Range Description:||Madagascar: Ankaratra mountains, where it is thought to be rare; and in the Fianarantsoa area and Andringitra reserve where it is locally common.|
